Flanders Make is the strategic research centre for the manufacturing industry.
From its sites all over Flanders, Flanders Make stimulates open innovation through excellent research.
Flanders Make’s goal is to contribute to the technological development of the vehicles, machines and factories of the future.

 

imec is a high-tech research institute driving the digital economy.
This strategic research center concerns itself upon research domains such as the Internet of Things, smart cities, digital privacy and security, and the conversion of raw data into knowledge.

 

VITO is a strategic research center that provides innovative technological solutions in combination with scientifically based advice and support, with the objective to encourage sustainable development and reinforce the economic and social structures of Flanders.
Climate change, food security, resource scarcity, sustainable energy, aging population… : VITO’s research agenda focuses on the major societal challenges we are facing today.

The VLIR, Flemish University Council, is the official consultation body of the Flemish universities of Antwerp, Leuven, Ghent, Hasselt and Brussels.
This council serves as a platform to facilitate cooperation between the Flemish universities and interacts with the Flemish government in all matters concerning higher education policy.


Structural partner

The Agency supports and stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship. As a logistics spearhead cluster, VIL is financially supported by VLAIO.

VIL has entered into a structural partnership agreement with Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), the Flemish agency for international entrepreneurship. The agreement was signed and extended for a new five-year period in 2022.
The partnership is embedded in ‘Flanders accelerates!’, the internationalization strategy of the Flemish economy.

VIL and FIT join forces to better and more smoothly support the internationalization plans of Flemish companies.

The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive industry lead strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management in Europe. Leading experts and companies in implementing supply chain and logistics innovation form ALICE aiming at transitioning towards net zero emissions transport & logistics operations in an affordable way.

Polis is the leading network of European cities and regions working together to develop innovative technologies and policies for local transport.
