ORDinL

‘ORDinL’ is a scientific research project run by the KU Leuven, in cooperation with VUB and UHasselt. The goal of this project is to develop fundamental knowlegde on datadriven optimalisation in logistics and to apply this knowlegde in a new operational decision support methodology.

status: Running | type: Regional

This methodology will be implemented in the next generation software tools, that will maximize logistics performance. The tools will be applied to several challenging case studies to prove the added value of a datadriven methodology in reference to traditional methods. These machine learning  driven methods will allow developers of logistic software to improve the systems they offer to their customers.

VIL’s role in this project is to make sure the developed methods are relevant to the logistics sector and to widely spread the results of the project. As a subcontractor of KU Leuven, VIL will conduct a detailed survey about the possible acceptance and openness of the logistics sector to change with respect to data driven operational decision tool.
